Happy 10 Year Anniversary to Us!!!

Painting trains at the lakehouse

Eric and I got married 10 years ago and celebrated our anniversary on 8-8-08. Yeah! We headed to the lake for a weekend of minimal work, maximum fun. The kids got new fishing poles. Lauren has a Barbie pole from Papa in NY, so she got a Disney Princess pole for the South, and Ethan got a Cars pole. They are in love with the sport. :) The little kids fished, the big kids played ladder ball, we all swam and had a nice relaxing time!

Lauren and Zach... how cute!

Had to add this one, too.... So cute.

Construction Equipment! Here's a sampling of what was out front while the town was fixing/building a new road. Ethan was a little scared, but very excited. So was Lauren!

This is what Nana and Papa now call "camping." It's a far cry from the canvas tent they started out in!

NY in July

Wow, what a great trip we had to NY!!! We started out at the St. Lawrence River, camping in Nana and Papa's RV and spending time on the boat. We had a great time up there playing and relaxing, and saw our Atlanta friends for dinner and a night out in Alex Bay. (See photos). We took a tour of a nature center on Wellsley Island, which also had a butterfly house. We then headed to my hometown of Groton where my parents live. Eric kicked off our "Rock the Hometown Race Series" with a trail race on Thursday night, the 24th. It was a 7-mile trail run along the Filmore Glen Gorge. He got 8th place overall! Good job, love. Then Nana and I ran a 10K Saturday the 26th at Filmore Glen that ran through Eric's hometown of Moravia. I won the Women's race (yeah!) and Nana got second place in her Age Group! We're a runnin' family! Saw my grandpa's 10 week old lab pup named Cooper and played some pitch with Gramp. Saw my cousing Kate. Went blueberry picking with the family after our 5K. Saw TONS of construction equipment working in front of my parents house (major entertainment for Ethan). Saw my best high school friend, Dawn and her children for a fun picnic morning. Played on several different playgrounds. Had some GREAT outdoor runs. Anything beats a treadmill! I know I'm forgetting tons of things, but this computer is killing my neck. Gotta go!
